CHOICE AND SCARCE ORIGINAL BLOCK OF 6 CONFEDERATE STAMPS

I have been very fortunate to acquire FOUR different blocks of Confederate stamps. This sheet with a block of dix has original gum and is, like the others in this sale, marked below what I might have to pay to replace it.

Please do look at the other Confederate Stamps in this sale. I am offering blocks of 4, 6, 8 and 20! I was about to say which one I thought was the best bargain but they're all about equally below market. The larger number of stamps in the block, the greater the price and it doesn't necessarily correlate—for example a block of 4 might be 3 times as much as a pair rather than twice. The double strips of 10 (20 total) are naturally the most expensive of the lots I have listed and that is getting into the quite rare country. I don't believe that I've ever seen a block consisting of two 10-stamp vertical rows before. I have seen sheets of 50 or 100 for sale but you'd better check your bank balance if you want to jump to that large a block.
