A QUITE SCARCE WORLD'S COLUMBIAN TICKET FROM THE CONCESSION OF "SOUTH SEA ISLANDERS"
This 25 cent ticket is from OTCo--The Oceanic Trading Company, a name that was hardly known at the world's fair except for those who purchased one of these tickets and asked what the O.T.Co. stood for. But the natives of Samoa and other south sea islands who performed and displayed a wide variety of skills were known simply as the South Sea Islanders in somewhere between 90% and 99.9% of the time. This statement comes from a lot of years reading books, magazines, programs etc. from the fair, both at the time of the fair and what was written about it many years later.
This ticket is seen very infrequently and is quite scarce.
I have probably sold fewer than 10 over 40+ years, or one every four years. You know when you last saw one and what asking/selling prices have been. You will generally see OTCo tickets selling at $125-$150. I have priced it at only $72 here.
