HOI AN SHIPWRECK POTTERY, RARE LOVELY LIDDED SMALL POT

This item is in the center of the photo surrounded by FIVE other Hoi An pieces we are selling. The large bowl already listed (see the next item for sale) that is 6 inches in diameter shows the relative size of the lidded pot.

It fits together virtually operfectly and top and bottom are in excellent, damage-free condition. It is about 2 inches toall and 2 inches in diameter. You can only see part of the blue design around the base; the lid has an unusually nice design in blue on the top and around the outside of the lid. The bottom has the original Vietnamese government sticker on the bottom indicating it was legally acquired and can be sold. The government managed the entire operation by the salvage team and required them to give the government examples of EVERY size and design for a museum.

There are hundreds of Hoi An items in the market and if you look online you will find that there are very few lidded pieces, all commanding substantially higher prices.
