'39 NYWF RARE IBM GUEST PASS, 1876 US CENTENNIAL TICKET & 4 STRIPS FROM TICKET BOOKS

I would think that this unassuming ticket from IBM might actually command a significant amount depending on the buyer. Certainly having an IBM pass in 1939 is quite unusual; I have not studied IBM history to know if the company was very well known 85+ years ago.

The dadmission ticket from the U.S. Centennial is always in demand, although often going unsold due to ridiculously high asking prices.

I have found that some collectors just aren't overly interested in strips of tickets from books of admission tickets. Others do seek these out, alone or still in the ticket books.

The four here are from an interesting mix of fairs--1904 Louisiana Purchase Expo, 1909 Alaska Yukon Pacific, 1915 Panama Pacific and 1939 Golden Gate. Ticket books in general are scarce and depending on the fair, very much so. Probably the strip least often see is the 1909 AYP. Each of the strips (2, 3 and 4 tickets each) is in excellent condition. The LPE strip comes from a VERY LOW numbered ticket book--just three digits at #210,

As with all our ticket groups, the price is for all of the tickets shown.

I could see the IBM ticket being bid up to $30-$50, while anything lower than $20 for the 1876 is unusual. It's difficult to put a price on strips from books, but I would probably sell each at only about $5. This yields a group retail price in the $70-$90 range at a minimum.

I am listing the group at half the low retail estimate.
