Very High Grade, Early Proof--1953 Roosevelt Dime, PF67, Lot #137
A very attractive and early high grade dime, a slabbed 1953 PF67. Silver sets earlier than 1956-1964 increase in cost very quickly. A 1953 proof set can generally be found in the $200-$250 price range for an UNSLABBED set; 3rd party graded sets are obviously higher and jump significantly from raw to those graded PF63-65. PF66 and 67 sets command a much higher price. Likewise, single proof coins jump considerably proof 65. Please see the PF67 nickel in the store, as well, a good companion coin and a start on a set if you want to try assembling your own high-grade 1953 set of cent-to-half dollar coins.
