Group of Six Color & Embossed Calling/Gift Cards from World's Columbian Expo
These unusual gift notes/cards are very much like a 127-year-old version of what we might see today on a Christmas package with the recipient's name. These have a brief message at the bottom surrounded by a floral design and a color image of a main 1893 Chicago World's Fair building. These were sold in sheets with a very tiny (and flimsy) bit of paper connecting the cards top to bottom, side to side. If you look carefully at the middle pair at the top right corner of each you can see the small tab of paper that connects them to the ones above. Most have broken apart over the years as the tabs were incredibly fragile. We have THREE of these groups of six cards, identical at a glance but with some different buildings. The price here is for ONE group, but you can select the option of a quantity of 2 or 3 when purchasing.
