7-Inch Tall Glass Vase from the U.S. Centennial Exposition, 1876 Philadelphia
This unusual piece has the date and centennial near the bottom, included as part of the piece when it was made. There is no maker noted on the vase. The detail is very nice and the overall piece essentially more elegant than most such souvenir glass seen from the mid- to-late 19th century. It certainly should not be looked as only for a Centennial or glass collector, but for anyone intrigued by the design and style. There are a few small chips at the very bottom edge and base that do not show when it is on display. We have photographed the bottom so that you can see the chips. Quite exceptional and very inexpensive.
