US Coins-1944D Uncirculated Walking Liberty Half Dollar
I always prefer to err on the side of conservative grading of my own coins. I would suggest looking carefully at the several important spots to evaluate on this or other coins. The obverse looks very crisp the head lacing a superlative strike that would get it called choice and the breast feathers on the eagle. Neither shows wear but they do have a bit of softness so I might consider this in the MS60-62 range. I’ve priced it accordingly at a wholesale price for the lower end of uncirculated, but never the less it is a nice lustrous coin.
Walking Liberty halves are one issue that seems to be underpriced in several grades. Strong AU’s (55-58) are often available for far less than one would expect. You just do not want to pay a bargain BU price for an AU coin, of course; be aware of the vagaries of grades and commensurate prices. You don’t need to be a professional grader to understand which coin is underpriced for its grade, or vice versa.
