DISNEYLAND ISN'T A WORLD'S FAIR, BUT IN SOME WAYS IT'S PRETTY CLOSE
These are very scarce tickets sold in the 1950s at ticket booths throughout Disneyland. Most families going to Disneyland used to purchase a book of tickets which offered A through E tickets at a substantially reduced price. For those who aren't familiar with Disneyland of the past, tickets went up in price from A to E as the rides were much bigger and better as you moved up through the ABCDE tickets.
The Matterhorn, & Submarines, for example, and other rides added in 1959 were "E" ticket rides. A Main Street street car or rides for the smallest of visitors (Sleeping Beauty, the Merry-Go-Round for example) were only an "A" ticket.
If you exhausted all your tickets in your ticket book...or maybe just all the "E" tickets, you could by a single ticket for a ride you hadn't gotten to, or another ride on a favorite. I speak from the voice of experience. My family drove from Seattle for the first full year Disneyland was open in 1956 (it opened in July of the previous year) and again in 1963, 1964 and 1967 so I'm well versed in getting a couple extra "E" tickets late in the day.
I'm rather in love with Disneyland. After getting too old for my parents to take me, I went with my girlfriend...then with my wife...then with our first child....and second...and third as well as several trips one-on-one with just one of the three. And every time I have had business in Southern California of course you'll find me at Disneyland.
I haven't gone in several years, but the last time my wife and I and our then 30-something middle child and I went...for FIVE days. That is the only time I've ever turned down another ride. On the 5th day, not long before we had to leave, I was so sore and my feet were in bad shape....and I opted NOT to go stand in another line.
Now several surgeries later, I am not sure just how I can navigate there, but it's time to visit again...with a grandchild.
Please take a minute and check out ebay's several new listings for tickets like these from Disneyland ticket booths. The prices are all over the place from $50-$100 and more.
I've tried to be as low as possible on these as I have been with every ticket in this sale. If you are in the market for other Disney tickets please send me an email & I would be happy to show you what's available and offer you a discount.
THE PRICE HERE IS FOR BOTH TICKETS.
Thanks!
