Century of Progress-Rare 1933-34 COP Chicago Unused Workman’s Day Pass #1338
While I have spent 40+ years studying and enamored of the 1893 Chicago fair I only have a modest knowledge of the quite large two-season exposition celebrating the city’s hundredth birthday.
The COP and the subsequent two 1939-40 (NY and SF) fairs had an unusually long time to generate attendance and souvenirs for today’s collectors. Not having been around for a two-season/two-year expo I don’t know just how it was treated by visitors of the day, perhaps just like getting to visit Disneyland AGAIN the following summer vacation.
This pass jumped out to me for its condition and different style/appearance compared to others from the COP.
