SPECTACULAR & RARE 1853 NEW YORK CRYSTAL PALACE GEM BU
$215.00
On sale
There are few medals of any kind that were issued during the 1853 first-ever world's fair in the United States; it followed the first that was held two years earlier in London, also known as the Crystal Palace.
The NY world's fair was quite small compared to the one held in London two years earlier. Many collectors and even historians tend to think of the 1876 Centennial as the "real" first world's fair in the United States.
This a remarkable medal. It's only the third of this type that I've sold (in 45 years of selling!) and the second one was also in 2025.
Special pricing. Past history would dictate that it should sell for from $250-$350.
