WORLD'S COLUMBIAN EXPO 'MIDWAY TYPE' MAGAZINE FORMAT
It certainly seems more than a bit rude to refer to the many ethnic groups on The Midway as "types" of human beings but this was 130 years ago, and racism was imbedded in our culture. The "types" on the Midway were NOT discriminated against or treated poorly.
The concessions were self-contained and more often than not managed entirely by the members of that Midway village. This publication was one of a series published by the Chicago Times. It is a bit dog-eared and the cover is loose. The many folks from the Midway are presented in full-page quality photographs.
