SPANISH COMMEMORATIVE SET 5 PROOF CAMEO SILVER MEDALS COLUMBUS VOYAGES BOXED 1992
I normally do not handle modern coins or medals but found two exceptional sets of Spanish-issued medals commemorating the voyages of Columbus. Either/both would make nice additions to a Columbian coliction. One set is bronze and one is silver. This item is the silver set only. I did not want to take the medals out of their capsules for photos or weighing but they probably are about 1/2-2/3 an ounce or more each and there are five, housed in capsules inside a wooden display box.
The set is very attractive and obviously I wouldn't purchase it for resale if I didn't think it was an outstanding modern set. I put it in the same category as modern U.S. siver commemorative halves and dollars.
