GOLD-PLATED & BOXED SET OF 4 COLUMBUS COMMEMORATIVE SPANISH MEDALS

This is one of two Spanish 1992 commemorative medals set I am including in this sale. The other consists of 5 silver cameo proofs and this one is a set of 4 one-ounce gold plated medals.

While I seldom purchase modern coins, commoratives that are attractive, nicely packaged and inexpensive are an occasional exception. I also thought that being able to offer two sets, both housed in custom display boxes presented a nice opportunity for collectors.

There is an outer cardboard box and an interior plexiglas cover. The wooden box can also be mounted on the wall for display, but to me at least, that seems a bit odd.
