#169-CIVIL WAR SALE: COMMON KNIFE AND FORK USED BY SOLDIERS IN CAMP

These two pieces are quite similar to some I sold 20+ years ago. I had created a display of "the Union soldier in camp." My goal was to present the many items that could be found in the soldier's pack--and tent: coffee pot, paper, stamps, pen, ink, wallet and photos, and more.

The knife and fork have wood handles while the blade and tines of the fork are in excellent condition, considering they were buried in the ground until they were found. Please note that this is not a knife intended for cutting but rather a "butter knife" and that the fork has somewhat long tines and only three of them!
