#183-CIVIL WAR SALE: STRIP OF 15 LUCIFERS (STICK MATCHES) + A COUPLE MORE

Lucifers tend to be difficult to find and full or nearly so strips are even more difficult. It's common to see 2, 3, or maybe 4 of the stick matches still attached to one another, but not such a large group. For those unaware, these were the matches sold by sutlers to soldiers and they were carefully guarded. I've never tried to strike one of the 160-165-year-old matches but my guess is that the heads are so small and old that they might not light. This large strip contains 15 matches and we've included a pair as well.
