C21 1962-Very Scarce Full Admission Ticket Unused with Stub Attached
One can find a great many of this adult admission ticket--WITHOUT the stub, but perhaps one every decade or so that's never been used. It is even rarer than one might think, becaue these tickets were sold to walk-up fairgoers, not the vasst majority who purchased package tickets or some type of admission ticket prior to the fair.
Even rarer are the green-colored rainbow striped tickets for children obviously because even fewer child's tickets were sold to walk-up visitors. I do not know the numbers but would guess that 80% of the fair tickets were sold prior to the day of one's visit. The ticket books one sees very often were by far the most popular means of purchasing a ticket; the books were an excellent value and provided fair admission, more than a dozen event tickets, a "21" lapel pin and a guide book. Even rarer are the somewhat larger ticket, colorful and with a picture of the Space Needle that were sold infrequently as admission/elevator rides up to the observations deck. I have NOT seen one for sale anaywhere in more than ten years. If you find a couple let me know--I'd love to buy one or more! In fact, as you would guess, we are always buyers of world's fair material, especially Chicago 1893 and Seattle 1962.
