Afrique Medal from the 1931 Paris Exposition #1324C

Some of the finest Paris Exposition medals, in my opinion, came from the 1931 Exposition. All are on very thick Piedfort planchets and feature a variety of ethnic die designs from various countries. While Paris gave us quite a string of 19th century world’s fairs—1855, 1867, 1878 and 1889 and then in 1900—I find the 1931 several medals exquisite, perhaps because they are in the art deco style popularized in the 1920s and 1930s.
