Very Unusual Article Supporting Chicago as Site for the World's Columbian Expo

This one-page article was reprinted prior to Chicago being selected as the fair site to promote the fair in the Windy City. The entire selection process took seemingly forever and the other finalist, New York, fought and fought and fought but couldn't overcome the Congressional support for Chicago. New York business and political leaders were genuinely shocked when Chicago was selected. There were three copies of this excellent one-page pro-Chicago article reprint (the reprint dates from before the fair) in the Kennel Collection, so you can order 1, 2 or all 3. I would guess that John Kennel's three copies were probably found together where such things often turn up--in the leftovers at a printing company. On several occasions we have found similar things from different fairs or historical events where some estate happened to have a box of 5 or 10 or 50 printing samples. This is a very interesting and collectible piece about the then hoped-for selection of Chicago to host the fair.
