Very Early Package of Lido Cowboys & Indians Toy Lot 11--#102C
The graphics on this package let you know it was produced in the 1950s, as does the style of those innovative "swivel action" figures. Even those of us with great imaginations as little kids definitely liked that the cowboys and Indians could MOVE. You could have your guy TURN around and shoot at someone! I remember quite well the difficulty having your marching or kneeling green soldiers unable to climb or walk and feel very real; they had to have a base on which to stand, but that meant they couldn't jump up and have a fist fight or crawl through the swamp on a mission. Those GI Joes my kids had in the eighties and nineties definitely had a literal leg up on our toys a generation earlier. The package shows a bit of wear on the header and you can see that age as made the bag a bit opaque. If you are a serious collector of these packs you'll recognize the very early packaging, making this pack even a bigger bargain than most of those we're listing.
