1786-88 New Jersey Copper--Very Scarce Earliest US Coin--Lower Grade, Very Affordable
Just a notch higher and this would be a $150+ coin;even better, say at very fine and the cost would be at least $500+. The coin is obtainable in uncirculated condition but be prepared to pay for the several zeroes on the price tag. For a collector interested in obtaining one of the earliest US coins from the 18th century, this is likely the lowest price of any issue you can find. The coin is ingood to very good condition and the legend "Nova Casarea" and a horse head above a plow are both quite strong. If you are not familiar with these coins, I got the reverse photo a bit tilted; the image is a shield but instead of the point aiming down at 6:00 it's closer to 4:00.
